40% of Women Feel Unsafe at Their Own Front Door

Earlier this year, Ultion carried out research with women across the UK to understand how safe they really feel at home. The results were eye-opening.

Over two thirds of women say they feel less safe outside after dark, especially in winter. More than a third have worried that someone was watching them or following them as they approached their door. And 40% said they would feel safer arriving home if they didn't have to stand on the doorstep searching for their keys in the dark.

That last point is especially important. The moment you're standing still at your front door, fumbling for keys, is the moment you feel most exposed. It's also the exact moment when the right lock can make a genuine difference to how safe you feel.

What the research reveals about real confidence in your door lock

Only 21% of women feel very confident that their current front door lock would actually protect them if someone tried to break in.
